What it does
Lift Type offers retail families, custom fonts and adaptations of existing designs. Its catalog identifies weights, mono or display counterparts and variable availability, with company-size licensing.
Lift Type makes family structure easy to see: Ocalie combines proportional, mono and display designs, while Dwight and Sans Plomb list larger ranges with variable versions. The studio also adapts existing fonts, including new glyphs, language extensions or additional weights. Bouuuuuh is a separate Halloween collection with a seasonal free download; its page uses an email form and states when the offer ends.
For paid fonts, choose a package using the final client's total company size. Basic covers desktop work, one website up to 50,000 monthly page views and social accounts up to 50,000 combined followers. Unlimited broadens the media coverage, but both packages exclude logos. Logo is a separate licence limited to the identity mark itself. Licences are perpetual for the agreed use, with upgrades when the company or usage grows. Trial files are only for evaluation and unpublished personal or student work.

Watch out for
- Logo use requires its own licence, including with the Unlimited package.
- Basic limits web traffic and social reach; broader use requires an upgrade.
Best for
- Editorial projects comparing related functional styles.
- Agencies arranging type for a final client.
