What it does

Lili combines US business-account services with team access, payment tools and business-software connections. The Core account is free, while paid plans add tax tools, bookkeeping and invoicing. Lili identifies itself as a financial technology company, with banking services through Sunrise Banks and wire services through Column.

Share work through account roles

Owners and administrators have broader access than managers or accountants. An accountant’s viewer role is read-only, and only one accountant can be attached at a time. Authorized colleagues who are not owners use the web service; owners also have mobile access.

To add a manager, open Account Settings, choose Invite A Team Member, select Manager and enter the person’s name and email. Payment Submission can be enabled during the invitation. With an approval threshold of zero, every submitted payment requires the selected owner or administrator’s approval. The manager can work with invoices, bills and payment instructions but cannot view balances or statements or reconcile transactions.

Pending invitations can be copied, resent or canceled in the team settings. Active users can be removed when their work ends.

What the plans add

Plan Standard monthly fee Main scope
Core $0 Business checking, debit card and software connections
Pro $15 Tax categories, receipt records, reports and automatic tax saving
Smart $35 Bookkeeping, cash-flow reports and unlimited invoices and bills
Premium $55 Smart tools, a metal card and priority specialist support

Connections include QuickBooks, Xero, Gusto, Stripe, Square and Shopify. A domestic outgoing wire costs $15; incoming domestic wires are free.

International wires are limited to supported countries and eligible entities, excluding sole proprietors and businesses using a DBA. They cost $25 outgoing and $15 incoming, with possible intermediary-bank charges. The sending workflow collects the recipient’s bank details, currency, amount and payment purpose, then shows a review and estimated delivery before authentication. Incoming wire instructions can be downloaded from Add Money.

Applying from the US or abroad

Applications require identity and business verification. US applicants provide contact, tax and business details for a supported business type. Certain non-US citizens can apply for eligible US-registered companies using their passport and business documents. That international route excludes sole proprietors, requires qualifying nationalities for all owners with at least 25% ownership, and sends physical cards only to US mailing addresses.

Strengths

  • Managers can prepare payments that require an owner or administrator’s approval
  • Read-only accountant access separates review from account control
  • A free Core account connects to common business software

Watch out for

  • Non-owner team members use web access rather than the mobile app
  • Only one accountant can be attached at a time
  • International wires exclude sole proprietors and DBA businesses

Best for

  • Eligible US-registered businesses dividing payment preparation and approval among colleagues
