What it does

SEO PowerSuite packages Rank Tracker, WebSite Auditor, SEO SpyGlass and LinkAssistant. The desktop applications cover keyword and position research, technical analysis, backlinks and link-building workflows.

SEO PowerSuite runs on Windows, Mac and Linux. Its four applications divide the work: Rank Tracker checks keywords and positions, WebSite Auditor examines technical and on-page issues, SEO SpyGlass investigates backlinks, and LinkAssistant organizes link prospects.

The free edition is useful for trying each application, but its limits affect continuing work. It allows one project, a 500-URL crawl and 1,100 backlinks; projects and ranking results cannot be saved. The download form asks for a name and email.

Professional costs USD 349 billed annually and adds saved projects, unlimited tracked keywords and larger ongoing research. Enterprise costs USD 599 annually and adds client-facing PDF or HTML reports, scheduled report delivery and data exports including CSV. Longer billing periods are offered at different rates.

The practical choice is therefore about continuity and handoff. Free can answer a one-off question. Professional suits an analyst returning to saved work, while Enterprise is relevant when clients need exported or automatically delivered reports.

Strengths

  • Separate desktop applications cover several established SEO workflows.
  • Runs on Windows, Mac and Linux.

Watch out for

  • The free edition cannot save projects or ranking results
  • Client report exports and automated delivery require Enterprise
  • The applications run on a desktop computer rather than solely in a browser

Best for

  • SEO specialists who prefer desktop tools and need several kinds of research
