LinkedIn Jobs combines role discovery with LinkedIn’s professional profiles and connections. Job seekers can explore occupations and internships, develop a visible account of their experience and signal interest in opportunities through Open to Work.
The professional profile and the job search support different parts of the same process. A search helps identify roles to investigate, while the profile provides background for recruiters and people in the network. Connections, industry discussions and professional updates can add context about the employers and work being considered.
Open to Work has several visibility choices. All LinkedIn members includes people at the current company and adds a photo frame. Recruiters only is limited to people using LinkedIn Recruiter. LinkedIn tries to hide this signal from recruiters at your current company, but it does not guarantee complete privacy. Visible only to you uses preferences for recommendations without publishing your availability.
The Jobs landing page also provides entry points for students, internships and different occupations. Use the particular role’s location and requirements when deciding whether to apply. LinkedIn Learning is linked as a separate learning service; access to courses has its own terms.
