What it does
Liquidswap is Pontem's decentralized exchange for the Move ecosystem, including Aptos and Movement. Original pools distinguish stable from uncorrelated assets, while V1 divides liquidity into price bins. It supports token swaps, liquidity provision and developer integrations.
Liquidswap's pool version is worth checking before comparing a quote or opening a liquidity position. Original pools use one curve for correlated assets and another for pairs whose prices move independently. V1 adds concentrated liquidity: the same pair can have different spacing between price bins, which are small price intervals, and providers choose where to place their assets.
For an ordinary swap, you supply one asset and receive another through the pool. Providing liquidity is a different commitment. Original pools issue LP tokens representing a share of the reserves; redeeming that share returns the current asset mix and earned fees. V1 instead represents the provider's share of individual bins.
The original protocol lists default swap fees of 0.3% for uncorrelated pools and 0.04% for stable pools. Its multisignature controller can change individual pool fees. V1 uses dynamic fees tied to each pair's volatility, so those original defaults should not be assumed for every route.
This is useful for Move ecosystem users who want to compare pool designs as well as exchange tokens. A stable-pair pool is designed for correlated assets, but the assets can still move away from their intended relationship.
Strengths
- Separate models for correlated and uncorrelated assets
- V1 lets liquidity providers select price bins
- Developer toolkit for integrations
Watch out for
- Pool versions use different position representations
- Individual pool fees can change
Best for
- Move ecosystem users comparing token swaps and liquidity configurations
