What it does
LiteCart is a PHP ecommerce application with a free download for your own web server. Its product editor separates customer choices from the combinations whose stock you count. An administrator account controls the store's backend.
Create selectable Options before adding Stock Options in the product editor. Stock Options assign a quantity to a combination such as Red and Large, and can give that combination its own SKU. The product's general Code is a separate internal identifier.
Manufacturer and supplier fields serve different purposes: one can hold the brand, while the other identifies the business supplying it. For example, a wholesaler carrying several brands need not be recorded as their manufacturer.
LiteCart lists its master download separately from development builds. The self-hosted core is free; the 2.7.1 package uses Creative Commons Attribution-NoDerivatives 4.0. Store administrators sign in with credentials and manage the shop through its backend.
