What it does

Loop Subscriptions manages Shopify recurring orders, customer self-service, bundles and retention workflows. Loop Flows applies conditions and actions to subscription events, such as a reward after several orders or a starter-to-refill product change. A continuing free package supports a small subscription programme.

A Loop Flow can give a subscriber a gift after a milestone or replace an introductory product with a regular refill. In Loop admin, open Flows, choose Create flow and select its type. Configure When events, If conditions and Then actions. Conditions can use order count, spending, products or location, and actions run in the configured order.

After publication, the list shows the latest run and recent run/failure counts. Flows only act when qualifying events occur; subscribers who have already passed a milestone are not enrolled retrospectively. Tools & Apps, Bulk Actions provides a separate way to target existing subscriptions. A flow also cannot change the initial checkout order after it has been placed.

Plan Shopify platform fee Transaction rate Main scope
Free Forever Free Not listed 50 active subscriptions and customer portal
Starter USD 99 every 30 days 1% Bundles, payment recovery and cancellation offers
Pro USD 399 every 30 days 0.75% Adds flows, APIs, multilingual access and permissions
Enterprise Custom Negotiable Tailored volume, development and contract terms

Paid plans have no fixed per-order charge alongside the percentage fee. Starter and Pro offer fourteen-day trials. Checkout upgrades require Shopify Plus.

Staff must have Shopify accounts with Loop app access. On Pro, an owner or administrator assigns their Loop roles; the app does not send separate invitation emails.

Strengths

  • Flows can use order counts and spending conditions for targeted subscriber actions
  • Subscriber portal and bundle tools are available within the subscription platform

Watch out for

  • Flows and API access require Pro or a larger package
  • A new flow does not retrospectively enroll subscriptions that already passed its trigger

Best for

  • Shopify merchants designing milestone-based replenishment and subscriber rewards
