What it does
Lordicon is an animated icon library with customization, collections and web integration. Its families include System, Wired and Doodle.
Choose the motion state as well as the drawing. A completion icon can use an intro state, while a control may call for hover or morph behavior. Lordicon exposes animation, color, stroke, speed and size settings, then offers formats including Lottie, GIF, video and static artwork.
For a web interface, its custom element provides a documented integration route; for a presentation, a rendered animation format may be more appropriate. Keep a static or reduced-motion alternative in the surrounding design.
Free use requires attribution, and the license adds limits for hosted Embed HTML requests. A paid plan removes the credit requirement but does not permit redistributing icons as standalone assets or treating the collection as the core of another icon product.
Strengths
- Motion states and visual settings can be selected together.
- Export options cover interactive web and rendered media.
Watch out for
- Free usage requires attribution.
- Hosted embedding has request limits, and standalone redistribution is prohibited.
Best for
- Animated interface feedback
- Presentations needing matching motion icons
