What it does

Lose It! is a food and nutrition tracker with food logging, macronutrient goals, water records and reports. Its official site describes barcode, label and photo-entry tools and connections with Apple Health and Google Fit.

The logging method is a useful first comparison. A packaged food can be approached through its barcode or label, while a meal photograph offers a different input route. Review the resulting food entry rather than treating the capture method as the whole diary task.

Reports and connected exercise records can help organize the information over time. The site offers free signup and links a Premium offering. Decide on the specific logging features you need before choosing access.

Basic covers the food database and essential calorie logging. Premium adds custom nutrient goals, device sync, future meals and camera or voice tools. Scanner access is being moved to Premium, so some older free accounts may differ; Scan It currently requires the device language to be English.

For a missing packaged item, the app's Custom Foods route can use Autofill to capture its nutrition label, then save it before adding the food to a meal. The guide requires Premium, camera permission and version 16.6.601 or later. Annual Premium renews unless disabled at least 24 hours before renewal. Buying Lifetime access does not cancel an existing Apple or Google subscription automatically.

Strengths
