What it does

Lucanet provides financial consolidation, planning, disclosure and reporting tools for organizations working across entities, standards and currencies. Group finance teams purchase a quoted subscription and collect entity submissions through controlled review stages.

Lucanet's consolidation workflow addresses groups whose subsidiaries report in different currencies or under different standards. Its platform connects group accounting with planning and disclosure work, alongside separate solutions for leases, tax and cash management.

In Data Collection, collectors open the forms assigned to their reporting entities. Entries save automatically. After completing required fields and running validation, use Submit for approval to send a read-only form to its reviewer. Missing required values, unrun validation or blocking errors prevent submission.

The approver can approve the figures or use Send back, with comments explaining the correction. A process becomes finalised when every form is approved. If an error is discovered later, an administrator can reopen the form and send it through approval again. Reopening does not update a posting already imported into Consolidation & Financial Planning: the administrator must rerun that import to replace the posted values.

Choosing a licence package

Package Consolidation and financial-planning distinction
Basic Core reconciliation, consolidation, planning and reporting
Advanced Adds standard source-system interfaces and functional support
Professional Adds enterprise interfaces, broader support and lease-accounting components

Prices are arranged with Lucanet. The minimum licence term is 12 months, with longer terms available. Different solution areas have their own feature comparisons, so the package name alone does not describe every selected module.

This is a useful fit when local teams prepare data but a group team needs a controlled review and correction process. Access depends on the user's assigned collector, approver or administrator role.

Strengths

  • Assigned collectors and approvers separate data preparation from review.
  • Validation blocks incomplete or invalid submissions before approval.
  • Administrators can reopen approved forms while keeping other forms unchanged.

Watch out for

  • Correcting a collected form does not automatically update an already imported consolidation posting.
  • Licensing starts with a 12-month commitment.

Best for

  • Group finance teams collecting reviewed figures from subsidiaries
  • Organisations coordinating consolidation, planning and disclosure
