What it does
Lucidchart is a diagramming tool with real-time collaboration, templates and data-linked visuals. Its user-journey and customer-journey templates sit alongside flowcharts, organization charts and technical diagrams.
Start with a blank document and drag a shape from the Flowchart library onto the canvas. Drag from a red connection point to draw a line, then select the next shape from the prompt. If the library is missing, add it through More shapes.
For alternate paths, open Layers from the bottom-left corner and select New layer. Hide or lock individual layers while discussing a particular route. Save view sets the visible layers that a collaborator initially sees. Layers belong to individual pages, so switching pages changes the layer list.
An account is required. The main plan choices are:
| Plan | Access |
|---|---|
| Free | Three editable documents, up to 60 shapes per document |
| Individual | Paid; unlimited editable documents and objects, premium shapes and templates |
| Team | Paid; adds revision history and versioning |
| Enterprise | Contact sales; broader Lucid suite access and administration |
Choose a paid subscription from the pricing page when the free document or shape limits are too small for your diagrams.
