What it does
NVivo AI Cloud is Lumivero's browser-based environment for qualitative and mixed-methods research. It organizes interviews, documents, codes, cases and memos, while AURA helps summarize and explore the material. It is a paid product with MyLumivero sign-in, separate from installed NVivo Desktop.
NVivo AI Cloud is useful for interviews, open-ended customer feedback and other material that needs coding and interpretation. It keeps that work in a research project, with links from AI-supported findings to the relevant passages.
After purchase, use the confirmation email to create or access MyLumivero. Launch NVivo AI Cloud from My Apps and select your storage region on first sign-in. Create a project with a title, description and research questions, then import text, audio or video. Audio and video are transcribed; summaries help you inspect what was imported.
Work with AURA Chat
Click AURA at the top right, enter a question and send it. Numbered citations in the response open the relevant passage. If AURA proposes a memo, a code or another project change, inspect its proposal card and choose Reject, Edit where offered, or Approve. An approved change is applied to the project and confirmed.
Devil's Advocate searches for material that challenges an interpretation. Outlier Detection looks for cases that do not fit the pattern. Answers can be saved to memos with their charts and citations, making them useful starting points for further analysis.
Access and usage
Individual subscriptions are available, and there is currently no free trial. The standard allowance includes 1,000 AURA credits and 200 literature-search credits each month, plus five transcription hours per year. Student allowances are lower. Included monthly credits do not roll over; separately purchased credit top-ups do.
Use your profile's AI Usage view to inspect the balance and buy top-ups. Each collaborator needs their own licence. Organizational packages remain on a waitlist, so check the purchasing route for a multi-user project.
