What it does
LunaPic is a free online editor with crop, canvas resize, rotation, transparency, clipboard blending, filters and animation tools.
Upload an image or open its URL, make the crop, canvas or transparency changes, then choose a Save format for the intended destination. The Save menu distinguishes animated/transparent GIF, transparent PNG and other still/video routes, with output sent to browser downloads. Editing uses a temporary server cache; the policy says files are removed after the session, or through File → Close Image with confirmation. Optional third-party hosting/sharing has separate retention. Automated batches belong to the API rather than scripts operating the editor interface.
Strengths
- Image and canvas resizing are separate controls
- Undo history and blending tools
Watch out for
- Editing uses a server cache, and third-party sharing can keep copies beyond the editing session.
Best for
- Quick browser image corrections
