What it does
Commander One is a macOS file manager whose PRO Pack adds FTP, SFTP, FTPS and connections to supported cloud services.
The free file manager and PRO Pack's transfer features serve different jobs. Two panels, tabs and queued operations help organize files locally; the paid extension brings FTP, SFTP, FTPS and supported cloud services into that workflow. Put the local project folder in one pane and its destination in the other. PRO Pack has a 15-day trial and a one-time purchase, with different allowances for one Mac and five Macs. The Mac App Store version has additional limitations, so use the comparison for the edition you intend to buy.
Strengths
- Queued operations in a dual-pane interface
- Remote server and cloud connections in PRO Pack
Watch out for
- FTP manager and cloud connections are PRO Pack features
