What it does
Macro is an open source workspace that brings email, chat, tasks, docs, agents, and a CRM into one tab. It supports live collaboration, agent edits, workspace search, and memory for agents. A free personal account is available, and signup lets you create a workspace, connect accounts, and invite teammates.
The signup page is at macro.com/app/signup. The workspace includes email and chat with shared live threads, documents with CRDT-based live edits, tasks, sheets and databases, coding agents, and sales and marketing CRM. Docs can be written in Markdown, imported from Notion, and exported as Markdown. Users can share docs by email or public link, set view, comment, or edit access, and edit offline. Coding agents can run in channels, read diffs, and follow tasks to pull requests. Sheets and databases can import from Google Sheets and Notion. The site states the product is open source, backed by a16z with $30M raised, and has ISO 27001, SOC 2, and CASA Tier 2 certifications.
