What it does
Magic Wormhole provides a command-line transfer tool and library that connect endpoints through matching human-readable codes.
Run wormhole send with a file, directory or short text, pass the displayed code to the recipient, and have them run wormhole receive. The receiving example asks for approval of the filename and size before writing the file. Codes are single-use; an extra verification string and longer code are optional. Both clients need to remain running until completion and use the same Mailbox server. File traffic tries a direct connection, then can use an encrypted Transit Relay when the network prevents it. This suits a coordinated handover rather than an unattended stored download link.
