What it does
Magma lets artists draw together on a shared browser canvas, join public Art Jams and organise drawings in Artspaces. It includes layers, chat and downloadable artwork.
From the dashboard, New canvas creates a 1920 × 1080 drawing; its dropdown offers presets and custom dimensions, background colour and resolution. Invite collaborators with the blue Share button or the drawing's URL. Signing in is recommended to preserve access and ownership of a canvas.
Choose File > Save, Share as PNG or Export to download artwork. Available outputs include PNG, JPEG, PSD and a sequence of layer images.
The free Spark plan allows 30 people per drawing, 60 layers and 1 GB of storage, with seven days of version history. Paid Blaze increases those limits to 50 people, 200 layers and 10 GB; Fusion adds team administration and custom arrangements. Free use includes commercial work.
Magma recommends Chrome for desktop drawing. Its browser guide warns that Safari on Mac lacks pressure-sensitive stylus support, while Firefox has copy-and-paste limitations. On small screens, the layout menu offers a simpler arrangement with panels behind buttons.
