What it does
Maileon builds automated email journeys from purchases, confirmed subscriptions, contact filters and other events. Its editor controls waiting, branching and repeat messages. A 30-day free trial is available, with a tailored price based on expected yearly sending volume.
A waiting node needs both a qualifying event and a timeout route. In Maileon, the timeout starts when the contact enters that node. A matching event takes the match path; unrelated events are ignored while the contact keeps waiting. An event arriving after timeout does not reverse the routing decision. For a post-purchase sequence, define which event confirms the next step and what should happen if it never arrives.
Interest splits check paths from top to bottom and take the first match, with Else as the fallback. Put specific combinations before broad ones. The frequency-limit element can route a contact away after a fixed number of executions, either permanently or within a reset interval.
Pausing an automation stops new entrants while existing contacts continue. Preventing their emails also requires deactivating the linked trigger mailings. Only active emails with the Marketing Automation start type appear in an Emailing step, a useful setting to check when the expected message is missing.
Maileon offers a 30-day free trial. Request a quote with your estimated yearly sending volume, company and contact details; the pricing page includes unlimited users.
Strengths
- Waiting nodes distinguish a matching event from the end of the waiting period
- Ordered interest paths and frequency limits give explicit routing controls
Watch out for
- Pausing an automation does not stop contacts already inside from continuing
Best for
- Email teams building event-based journeys with deliberate fallback and repeat-frequency rules
