What it does
Mailjet combines campaign design and automation with developer tools for sending application emails and reporting delivery events. Shared workspaces, user roles, comments and approval flows support collaboration between marketing and development teams.
Mailjet lets marketers and developers work on email in the same service. Marketers can design and comment on templates while developers connect transactional sending through the API or SMTP relay. Approval flows provide a handoff before content is sent.
For a service business, that could mean a branded announcement and a separate password-reset template maintained by different people. Mailjet also offers subaccounts for separating brands or clients.
Its monthly email credits expire at the end of the billing cycle instead of rolling forward. Extra sends can be billed above the plan. Free allows 6,000 emails per month with a maximum of 200 per day, so the whole monthly allowance cannot go out in one campaign.
Open a free account without a credit card. Starter, Essential and Premium raise capacity and provide additional features; Custom is arranged with sales. Monthly plans can be changed back to Free.
