What it does

Mango connects accounting-specific project templates, deadlines, time and billing with client documents, signatures and practice reporting. Firms can prepare invoices from recorded work or bill without time entries, then review several clients together. It offers a free trial without a credit card; subscription terms are arranged with Mango.

Mango connects the work a practice performs with its time and billing records. Accounting-specific project templates organize due dates and tasks, while time can be tracked whether the firm charges by the hour or by project. Document sharing, engagement letters and signature requests support client collaboration.

Prepare and review a batch of invoices

  1. Open Billing & Invoicing > Batch Invoicing and choose the invoice date.
  2. Use Filters to set the bill-through date, clients, engagements or other criteria, then click Fetch.
  3. Select the clients or individual engagements. Review time, expenses, discounts and invoice amounts; choose the invoice and finalization options for each client.
  4. Click Process Invoices, then open Invoice Review. Preview or edit the selected invoices and choose Finalize to print, email or save them according to the selected action.

Changing an invoice amount shows its write-up or write-down against recorded work. The review screen also lets you return an invoice to an unbilled state with Reverse Invoice. Processing a batch and finalizing it are separate steps, so a billing manager has a review point before delivery.

Subscription and setup

Mango's pricing page includes implementation, import assistance, training and setup across its plans. Contact Mango for the practice-management subscription quote; its advertised website-building add-on is a separate service. A trial is available without a credit card.

Each user needs a separate login. Additional users or services added during a billing cycle are prorated to that cycle. Mango's terms make paid fees non-refundable, including the unused portion of an annual subscription. Reporting can then help the firm review work and billing by client, product and associate.

Strengths

  • Batch invoices can be filtered, adjusted and previewed before finalization
  • Invoices can be prepared with or without recorded time
  • Implementation and import assistance are included across listed plans

Watch out for

  • Users cannot share a login under Mango's terms
  • Unused annual subscription time is not refundable
  • Batch processing still requires an invoice-review and finalization step

Best for

  • Accounting firms billing several client engagements together
  • Practices connecting time records with fixed-fee or hourly invoices
