What it does

Mapify is a web tool that summarizes PDFs, documents, YouTube videos, webpages, audio recordings and pasted text into structured mind maps. It works in the browser and through a mobile app and browser extension. Inside a map you can chat with the file, run web searches, expand branches, edit the structure and share or export the result as an image, PDF or Markdown. Pricing is listed on a separate page, and accounts start with a free sign up.

The site covers several input types: PDF and other documents, YouTube links, webpages, long text, audio such as podcasts and meeting recordings, and images like charts or scanned notes. YouTube maps include timestamps that link back to moments in the video, and full transcripts are available. Other listed features are a chat panel for asking questions about a file, online search that adds source links, one click expansion of a branch, slide presentation mode, ready made templates, and export or share by link or as image, PDF or Markdown. The same maps stay synced across web, mobile and the browser extension. Sign in is possible with Google, Apple or email. A pricing page, blog and contact email are linked from the homepage.
