What it does
MapsGPT is a free AI map generator from Proxi. You fill in a prompt using modes such as Places Near an Area, Text to Map, History Explorer, Vibe Search, Freeform Prompt or Trip Planning. The map opens usually within a minute with pins, categories and a line about each place, ready to share. A map holds up to 25 places until you claim it, and you can build a few maps an hour. Claiming sends the map to your own Proxi workspace, where you can edit pins, colors and details, make it private or unlisted, and turn on add-a-place so others can add spots. Maps are viewable by anyone with the link before claiming. The site says places come from public data and an AI's best guess, and recommends checking hours and details before you go.
