What it does

Marfeel combines editorial analytics with audience, conversion and monetization reporting. Publishers can follow current readership or examine how articles perform over time. A continuing free plan covers real-time analysis, while paid plans add historical reports and broader analysis.

The publishing desk and the planning meeting need different time horizons. Marfeel's real-time reports can inform a current story review, while historical analysis helps investigate evergreen coverage. Retention is one of the main differences between its analytics plans.

Plan Included history Useful distinction
Free Today Real-time editorial analytics
Basic 3 months Saved reports and sharing
Pro 13 months Subscription and conversion analysis; 26 months available as an add-on
Enterprise 26 months Raw data, custom variables, segments and funnel analysis; longer retention by arrangement

Basic can therefore cover a recent editorial cycle, while an annual comparison needs a longer history. Collection uses Marfeel's tracking integration and article metadata, so the reports can describe content and readership rather than only page URLs.

Access requires a user account. An administrator can invite colleagues by email; the invitation's Activate My Account link expires after seven days. Supported sign-in methods include email and password, Google and Microsoft, although an organization can require its own single sign-on route. People with access to several organizations can use the lower-left profile menu and Change organization to select the right publisher.

Strengths

  • Connects editorial reporting with audience and business questions.
  • Offers both free real-time access and expanded paid analytics.

Watch out for

  • Basic historical data is limited to three months.

Best for

  • Publishers coordinating current readership analysis with content planning
