What it does
Market Chameleon provides options-volume reports, volatility rankings, earnings calendars and stock screeners. It separates regular trading from premarket, after-hours and auction activity. Free registration adds watchlists and selected reports, while Total Access unlocks the premium research tools.
An earnings investigation can begin with the event calendar, then move to the same symbol’s options and volatility views. Keep the market session with any comparison: premarket activity and the closing auction answer different questions from a full regular-session total.
The Unusual Options Activity report defines relative volume as the day’s options volume divided by its 90-day average. Click a column heading to sort, click again to reverse the order, or use the search box for a ticker or keyword. Symbols link to further company information. Compare a high ratio with earnings or other listed events before assuming the volume has one explanation. The ten-day lookback is a premium feature.
Free Starter registration includes personalized watchlists, earnings charts and options-volume summaries, with optional newsletters. Its page labels market data as delayed by 15 minutes. The website also offers a seven-day premium trial. Total Access is listed at $99 per month; the trial permits two downloads per rolling 24 hours, increasing to 25 after a paid subscription begins.
To cancel, open the account icon, select My Subscriptions, choose Cancel and confirm. The trial converts to a paid month unless cancelled before it ends. A free account is useful for maintaining a research list even when the more detailed screeners are unnecessary.
