What it does

Maskot is a Swedish stock-photo agency focused on people and everyday Scandinavian settings. Its royalty-free library covers work, family life, education, healthcare and other subjects for business and public-sector communication.

Search by keyword, then narrow by category, colour or format. Individual pictures come in three sizes: 750 × 500 pixels, 2500 × 1667 pixels and 5700 × 3800 pixels, intended respectively for social media, web and print. You can also buy packs of 5, 10 or 25 pictures, but those packs must be used within 10 days.

Annual plans are paid upfront and last a year, with a download allowance that depends on the sizes selected. They need renewing when either the time or allowance runs out. Purchased pictures can be downloaded again through Mitt konto after signing in.

The standard terms allow access by up to 10 people in the purchasing organisation. Political use needs Maskot’s approval, and images cannot be resold or transferred to someone else.

Strengths

  • The collection concentrates on recognisable Swedish and Scandinavian everyday settings.
  • Single images, short-lived packs and annual allowances support different buying patterns.

Watch out for

  • Image packs expire after 10 days.
  • The standard terms limit organisational access to 10 people and require approval for political use.

Best for

  • Teams creating Swedish marketing and public-information campaigns
  • Designers needing related Scandinavian lifestyle photography
