What it does
Math Notepad is a browser editor for mathematical expressions that recalculates dependent working after an edit.
Math Notepad keeps editable expressions and updates dependent results after a change. Its version 0.11.7 overview documents assigned variables, custom functions, units and # comments, plus symbolic simplify and derivative operations. Use plot with one or more functions, then drag or scroll the graph to move or zoom it. Matrix entries use commas and rows use semicolons; indexes start at one and include both ends of a range. Assigning to an indexed subset replaces those elements. The documentation recommends reasonably small matrices and explicitly rules out heavy large-matrix computation. That scope suits a compact worksheet where a changed input needs to flow through later working.
Strengths
- Dependent calculations update after changes
- Expressions remain editable in a notepad
Best for
- Short mathematical working with linked values
