What it does

MathWallet provides mobile, browser-extension and web access to supported blockchain accounts and applications. Its decentralized wallet continues to operate, while the separate MathWallet Cloud Wallet service is scheduled to close on January 1, 2027.

Choose the blockchain before creating or importing an account. MathWallet covers EVM, Substrate and Cosmos networks as well as networks such as Bitcoin and Solana. Support for a chain does not mean every interface exposes the same functions; Ledger connections, for example, are advertised for the browser extension.

The mobile creation guide uses Switch Wallet, the chosen blockchain, Add Wallet, then Create Wallet. For an existing account, open Manage Wallet to reach backup options. The available format depends on the chain: a mnemonic phrase, private key or keystore. The backup guide explicitly notes that an EOS account uses its private key rather than a mnemonic export. A local password protects access but is not a substitute for the required backup.

The iPhone and iPad app is free. Creating a local wallet does not require a hosted-service account. Optional iCloud or Google Drive backup is a separate feature that depends on the relevant platform account and backup password.

There are two current service changes to distinguish from this local wallet. MathVault (VPoS) closed on October 21, 2026, ending reward accrual. MathWallet Cloud Wallet closes on January 1, 2027. Its notice asks existing Cloud Wallet users to withdraw by December 31, 2026 at 23:59 UTC+8 and says monthly maintenance charges will apply afterward. The notice expressly says decentralized MathWallet is unaffected. Anyone with an old Cloud Wallet balance should read that notice and follow its linked withdrawal route.

Best for

  • People managing self-custody accounts across several blockchain families
  • Existing MathWallet users checking which service changes affect their accounts
