What it does

Maverick is an automated market maker with liquidity strategies that can adjust as an asset price moves. Its app separates Swap, Pools and Portfolio. Traders exchange tokens from a wallet, while liquidity providers choose a distribution and take exposure to the resulting pool position.

Maverick's distinctive feature matters most to liquidity providers: a position can follow price in one or both directions instead of staying in one fixed range. That automation changes the token mix and can leave a directional position mostly exposed to one asset. It does not remove market risk.

For a token exchange, use Swap and select the input and output assets. Either amount can be entered, with the other recalculated. Below the button, inspect the rate, price impact and minimum output. The controls icon sets slippage tolerance and the time allowed for confirmation.

If Approve [Token] appears, review the spending allowance first. Then select the swap button, Confirm Swap and the wallet confirmation. Only assets supported by deployed pools are available.

Each pool has its own trading fee, chosen when it is created. The router compares available pools, so a route with a higher fee can still provide more output than a lower-fee pool. Liquidity providers earn fees only where their liquidity is active.

Each liquidity position has an NFT, a token representing control of that liquidity. Transferring it gives the receiving wallet that control, so it should not be treated as an unrelated collectible. Use Portfolio to review positions separately from ordinary wallet holdings.

Strengths

  • Liquidity movement modes can automate position adjustments
  • Swap preview shows price impact and minimum output
  • Portfolio separates liquidity positions from the swap workflow

Watch out for

  • Directional positions can concentrate exposure in one asset
  • Only active liquidity earns pool trading fees
  • Transferring a position NFT transfers control of its liquidity

Best for

  • Wallet traders and experienced liquidity providers comparing moving-liquidity strategies
