What it does

Choose the effect and supported host first: particle work in After Effects is a different task from colour treatment, keying or another finishing operation. Editable presets can provide a starting point before adjusting the treatment for the shot. Check the exact host version and plugin compatibility when adding a Red Giant tool to an existing project.
