What it does
ME Bank’s SpendME account offers everyday payments without a monthly account-keeping fee, through ME Go. The app adds a Bill Tracker, spending categories, card locking and savings goals. ME Bank is a division of Bank of Queensland Limited.
ME Go’s Bill Tracker shows approaching bills alongside transaction categories and spending limits. Savings goals can be attached to accounts, and the app supports up to nine SaveME accounts for separate purposes. Statements and transaction searches are also available through ME Go Internet Banking, although some functions still require the app.
SpendME has no monthly account-keeping fee or ME international transaction fee. It supports Osko and PayID for transfers and offers temporary card locking inside ME Go.
Use the right banking service
SpendME runs through ME Go and cannot be accessed through the older ME Internet Banking service. Existing accounts managed in that older service do not appear in ME Go. For those accounts, select the account to view transaction history by period, or use Accounts → View Statements for older activity. ME says statement history is retained for up to seven years.
New applicants download ME Go and follow its account-opening process. The product page requires Australian residence and a residential address, personal use, and an applicant over 14. A joint application sends an invitation to the second person, and both applicants must complete identification before the account opens. ME Bank’s product documents identify it as a division of Bank of Queensland Limited.

Best for
- Australian residents organizing everyday spending and separate savings goals
