What it does
Metatable turns a plain English description of a business process into a working web application. It writes a plan you review and approve, then generates the database, backend, frontend, and tests from that plan. Apps run on managed Azure infrastructure, and you can export the full source code at any time.
Metatable is aimed at people who know their business process but not code. You describe records, rules, and edge cases in plain English, then review and approve a written plan before anything is built. The app is generated from that plan, so later changes follow the plan instead of drifting. The generated stack uses PostgreSQL, Rust, Flutter, and Azure. Every plan includes hosting and full source-code export, and Standard and higher plans can expose the backend as an MCP server for ChatGPT or Claude. The Free plan has one project, 250k AI tokens per month, 1 GB storage, and no backups. Paid plans add more projects, seats, storage, and backups. Metatable states it is not a no-code builder, so some technical comfort helps.
