What it does

mGBA emulates Game Boy Advance, Game Boy and Game Boy Color. It includes local link-cable support, remappable controls, rewind and debugging features.

Choose the frontend that fits the device, then configure controls before testing a game. Local link support means multiple instances on the same computer, not an automatic internet multiplayer service. The project’s cartridge and hardware notes help when a title uses special sensors or a less-common mapper.

mGBA includes a BIOS implementation, with the option to supply an external BIOS. That differs from emulators that require a separate BIOS file before any game can start.
