What it does
Microsoft Entra ID is a cloud identity and access-management service with SSO, authentication and risk-based access controls.
Entra ID's conditional-access role is useful to examine through a concrete sign-in: who requests access, from which device and under which conditions. Its page also describes central application access and employee self-service. Plan recovery and exceptions before enforcing policy across the workforce. Compare Free, P1 and P2 against the actual controls needed; the page separates core access from higher-plan risk and privileged-access functions. An adjacent feature block does not establish the organization's entitlement.
Strengths
- Central application access and conditional policy controls
