What it does

Mingcute Icons provides a public icon system in Core Regular and Core Filled styles, with paid additional styles. Its packages share canonical artwork across frameworks, SVG files and icon fonts.

Mingcute’s public styles are Core Regular and Core Filled, drawn on a 24-pixel grid. Framework adapters consume shared icon geometry, so a team can use the same named artwork across React, Vue, Svelte and other applications.

For React, install @mingcute/react, import Home1Regular from @mingcute/react/core-regular and render it with size and title properties. Direct paths such as @mingcute/react/core-regular/home-1 avoid loading a whole style namespace. Components are decorative by default until given an accessible title or label; an icon inside a text-labelled button can remain decorative.

Choose SVG or framework components when gradients, masks or original colors matter, since the icon font cannot preserve every SVG feature. Public packages need no account and use Apache 2.0. Pro adds styles under a separate commercial licence and requires an active entitlement plus configuration for the private registry.

Strengths

  • Shares icon geometry across several framework renderers.
  • Documents direct imports and decorative accessibility defaults.

Watch out for

  • Additional styles require the separate Pro edition.
  • Icon fonts cannot reproduce every gradient, mask or original-color asset.

Best for

  • Products sharing icons across web frameworks.
  • Teams needing corresponding regular and filled states.
