What it does
Mipui is a free, open-source browser app for creating and sharing grid-based tabletop maps. It supports live co-editing and read-only links.
Share an editing link with a collaborator while designing the map, then use a read-only link for viewers. Mipui deliberately uses symbols instead of textures, which keeps the map focused on layout. Some token images use attribution licenses, so include their credits if publishing a map containing them.
Mipui saves maps to its cloud automatically, so browser-based editing is not the same as a local-only file workflow. The fork option makes a copy to revise; a read-only link is the better choice when you only want players to view the finished layout.
Strengths
