What it does
Miva provides merchant storefronts with inventory controls that reserve stock either in the basket or at checkout.
Miva can reserve an item when it enters a basket or when the buyer submits checkout details. Basket-time reservation removes it from other shoppers' available stock. At Checkout allows competing baskets; insufficient stock then triggers an error and redirect.
In the Miva Merchant administrator, open Catalog > Inventory, enable Track Inventory and Track Out of Stock Level, and choose Update. Enable tracking for the individual product too. The inventory tutorial labels these controls for version 9.6 and later.
Abandoned baskets retain reserved stock until expiry and deletion. Review both schedules.
