What it does
Mixpost manages social content, publishing and analytics from a self-hosted application, with a hosted Cloud option. The free Lite edition provides basic publishing for selected networks, while paid editions add wider platform support, queues, collaboration and integrations.
Use post versions when a campaign needs different wording or media on different networks. Mixpost can retain those versions under the same publishing task, with labels to organise a campaign and a media library for reusable assets. Its paid workflow adds scheduled queue slots, approval chains, review comments and a timeline showing who created, approved and scheduled a post. A team managing several brands can place each client in a separate workspace.
Self-hosted editions
| Edition | Licence price | Main differences |
|---|---|---|
| Lite | Free | Facebook Pages, Mastodon and X; basic analytics, calendar and media library |
| Pro | USD 299 once, excluding VAT | Wider network support, unlimited accounts, users and workspaces, approvals, inbox and an API for connecting other software |
| Enterprise | USD 1,199 once, excluding VAT | Pro features plus branding, subscription billing and customer management for running your own hosted service |
Each paid licence covers one domain or subdomain and includes one year of updates. The perpetual fallback licence lets you continue using the purchased version without renewing; future updates require renewal. Lite's public repository uses the MIT licence. Paid editions provide source code for your own business customisations, but do not permit code resale or redistribution, and selling a hosted service requires Enterprise.
Self-hosting means providing a server and a publicly accessible domain so social networks can communicate with the installation. The Lite Docker setup opens at your configured application URL with a local administrator login; change its initial password before connecting social accounts. Mixpost Cloud is the hosted alternative and offers a seven-day trial.
