What it does
MockupRiver is a free PSD mockup library with categories for books, posters, packaging, clothing and other objects. Its homepage describes layered files with Smart Objects and permits personal and commercial use without required attribution.
MockupRiver organises its free library by object, including shirts, books, stickers, packaging and business cards. Item pages provide the file format, dimensions, size and design-area proportions before the download button.
The Vertical Business Card on an Oak Desk scene, for example, includes separate Smart Objects for the leaning card front and the back on top of the stack. Its desk setting can be swapped, and the page specifies PSD plus PNG files at 4000 × 6000 pixels. These details help you check whether the scene supports both sides of a card before preparing the artwork.
The site licence permits personal and commercial design work, modifications and client presentations without attribution. It excludes sharing or selling the mockup files, including them in distributed templates, or presenting empty mockups as your own portfolio work.
Strengths
- Item pages disclose dimensions, design-area proportions and file size.
- Commercial use and client presentations do not require attribution.
Watch out for
- The mockup files cannot be included in templates or downloads you distribute.
- The sampled card scene uses PSD Smart Objects rather than an online editor.
Best for
- Print designers looking for everyday brand applications
