What it does
momondo searches airlines and travel sites for flight comparisons and also offers stay and car-rental searches. Its flight guidance explains a Price Calendar, route alerts and Mix & Match combinations that use different suppliers.
A flexible departure date can be a useful place to begin. On supported popular routes, the Price Calendar helps compare travel dates rather than repeatedly rebuilding the same search. Price Alerts are another option when you want updates for a particular route.
Look closely at a result labelled Mix & Match. momondo explains that it can pair an outbound flight from one supplier with a return from another, requiring two booking flows. Treat the two purchases as separate arrangements when organising confirmation details. The service describes its search as free to use; the transport itself still comes from the selected airline or travel seller. Its combination tools are most useful when you are willing to examine the details of each leg.
