What it does
Moneybird combines customer invoices, purchase records, time tracking and bookkeeping. Invoice categories feed the income statement and balance sheet. It offers a 60-day trial of Complete. The product includes European bank connections and Dutch VAT-related workflows.
From invoice categories to reports
Assign sales and purchase invoice lines to categories, which act as general ledger accounts. Moneybird uses those categories in the income statement and balance sheet. When moving from another system, you can import historical data or enter an opening balance.
Register for the 60-day trial to compare the bookkeeping workflow. For a move from another system, settle the opening-balance date before importing transactions so the same entries are not counted twice. Online payment methods have separate transaction charges.
Strengths
- Invoice categories feed the general ledger reports
- Documented opening-balance and data-import migration options
Watch out for
- Online payments have additional transaction fees
Best for
- Entrepreneurs who want invoice handling and bookkeeping in one product
