What it does
Money Lover records personal income and expenses in wallets, categories and spending reports. Its free account retains one active wallet, while Premium adds more wallets, exports and additional planning features. Optional bank-linked wallets use a separate subscription, and the service has iOS, Android and desktop web access.
Record the everyday purchases that tend to disappear from memory, then compare their categories in the spending report. Tap the plus button to enter an amount, category, date and wallet. A note can explain what the purchase was for. Changing the transaction's currency converts the amount into the wallet's currency, which is useful when recording travel expenses.
Understand the separate paid options
| Access | Payment | What it covers |
|---|---|---|
| Free | No charge | One active wallet, manual records and individual-wallet reports, with ads |
| Premium | US$19.99 lifetime in the US App Store | Multiple wallets, unlimited budgets, CSV and Google Sheets export, and removal of ads |
| Linked Wallet | Separate monthly subscription | Bank transaction synchronization for supported institutions |
Premium does not include bank linking or the separate Money Insider feature. The Premium trial lasts 14 days and then returns to Free unless upgraded. Choose the wallet you want to keep using at that point; other wallets' earlier records remain viewable. Local store prices can differ.
Export or connect a bank
With Premium on Android, go to Account → Tools → Export CSV. On iOS, use Account → Settings → Export CSV. Choose the wallet, categories, date range and delimiter before exporting. Google Sheets export is another option and requires a Google connection.
To check bank availability, open Account → Connect to banks before purchasing Linked Wallet. That subscription has its own seven-day introductory trial and billing terms. A bank feed is not required for manual tracking.
The web version creates and manages transactions on a desktop browser; mobile browsers are not supported.
