What it does
MoneyMonk combines bookkeeping with quotes, business time records, invoices and project administration. It is available through a browser and mobile application.
MoneyMonk keeps the administration of a service job together: prepare a quote, record project hours, trips and expenses, then invoice the work. Quotes can use your own template and include an attachment with your terms.
For a purchase invoice, import the document or bring it in through a business Gmail connection. MoneyMonk reads the invoice information; add a description, choose an expense category and save it. Suggested bookkeeping entries still have an approval step. With an active bank connection, VAT returns can be submitted from MoneyMonk. Income-tax preparation uses its balance sheet and profit-and-loss figures, which you enter separately in the tax authority's application.
| Plan | Published monthly price | Included bank transactions and annual revenue limit |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | Free for the eligible introductory period | 20 transactions; revenue up to EUR 50,000 |
| Basis | EUR 9 | 20 transactions; revenue up to EUR 20,000 |
| Pro | EUR 32.50 regular price | 50 transactions; revenue up to EUR 100,000 |
| Ultra | EUR 37.50 | Unlimited transactions; aimed at revenue from EUR 100,000 |
The Pro offer reduces its first three months to EUR 15 per month. Plans include a bank connection and can be cancelled monthly.
An email signup starts a 30-day trial without payment details. Eligible new businesses can then activate Starter themselves. Its 15-month free period is measured from the business's KvK registration date, so an older registration leaves less free time. The trial does not automatically convert into that plan.
Strengths
- Quotes, hours and invoices share a project workflow
- Purchase-invoice capture alongside bookkeeping
- Suggested purchase entries can be reviewed before approval
Watch out for
- Starter eligibility runs from business registration, not software signup
- Bank-transaction allowances and revenue thresholds differ between plans
Best for
- Dutch service businesses tracking time before client billing
