What it does
MoneyNote by Komorebi is a Japanese app for entering household income and expenses by hand. Monthly and yearly reports show category averages and shares of spending. It works without registration on iPhone and Android, with free everyday features and an optional paid Premium service.
Compare more than one month
Enter a purchase amount and choose its category. Monthly and yearly reports then show each category’s average spending and its share of the total. Fixed expenses and regular income can be set up without retyping every entry.
Match reports to your pay cycle
On iOS, open メニュー (Menu), choose 全般設定 (general settings), then 月度の開始日 (monthly start date). The help page also describes a setting for paydays that fall on holidays.
The ordinary ledger remains free. Komorebi’s iOS help identifies Premium as a one-time purchase for optional advanced features. MoneyNote does not scan receipts or connect to bank accounts, so its totals depend on what you enter.
