What it does
Monkt converts documents such as PDF, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, CSV, images and web pages into clean Markdown or structured JSON. It supports custom JSON schemas, image understanding, batch processing and OCR for scanned documents. Users can work through an online dashboard or a REST API with token authentication. Signup and several paid plans are offered on the site.
The site lists plans at $4.99 per month for 50 transformations, $14.99 per month for 1,000 transformations with DeepExtract processing and deterministic JSON, plus Enterprise and Premium custom options by request. The API documentation describes endpoints for transformations, schemas and prompts, with token authentication, pagination, filtering and ordering. Deep extract downloads are available as zip, full JSON, simple JSON, Markdown and Markdown with references. Rate limits on the free plan are 100 requests per day and 5 MB maximum file size. Monkt states it is operated by Premium Software Ltd., registered in Bulgaria under number BG207947833, and was founded by Simeon Emanuilov.
