What it does
Moon Invoice handles customer billing, estimates, receipts, purchase orders and credit notes across web, desktop and mobile apps. It is useful when a sale changes after the original invoice, because credits remain separate records that can be applied to the balance. The paid service starts with a seven-day trial without a credit card.
An accepted estimate can become an invoice without rebuilding its line items. Open Sales > Estimates, choose the estimate, then select Convert to Invoice from its three-dot menu. Its status changes to Invoiced, keeping the earlier quote visible as part of the job.
A credit note is a different document from a replacement invoice. In Sales > Credit Notes, use the plus button, select the customer, check the currency and date, and add the relevant products or tasks. A saved note initially has an Unused status. To use it, open the customer invoice, choose the additional options menu, then Credit Note > Apply Existing. Selecting and saving the credit adjusts the remaining amount due. This distinction helps when returned goods or an agreed reduction change what the customer owes.
The broader workspace also separates supplier purchase orders from customer sales and offers receipt scanning. Web access works without a desktop installation, while dedicated apps are listed for Mac, Windows, Linux, Android and iOS. That gives a business several ways to enter and review the same types of billing records.
Create an account to begin the seven-day trial; no payment card is required at that point. Continued use is a paid subscription with monthly and annual billing choices. Check the selected plan and term before subscribing, especially if you need accounting or several users.
Developers can use the programming interface (API) for invoices, estimates, payments and other records. Access requires the account email, a secret key obtained from Moon Invoice support and an access token, so integration setup includes a support request.
