What it does
Moonlight is an open-source game-streaming client that connects supported devices to a configured personal gaming PC. It links to compatible host software.
Set up the host and client on the same network before attempting remote access. Moonlight carries the game running on your PC; it does not rent a gaming machine or provide a game subscription. Higher resolution and frame-rate settings depend on the host, network and receiving device.
The current site recommends Sunshine for the host PC and says NVIDIA’s older GeForce Experience/SHIELD streaming route is being discontinued. Keep the roles separate: install host software on the gaming computer and Moonlight on the receiving device.
