What it does
Password Agent is a Windows password manager storing data locally by default, with a global-hotkey filling workflow and an item-limited free edition.
Password Agent's global hotkey is useful when a user wants browser filling without adding a separate extension to every browser. Its current page also provides a portable ZIP option and a local-storage default. The free Lite edition permits 20 items per file, so it is a small-vault arrangement rather than the same allowance as Unlimited. Decide on backup and synchronization separately from the everyday local editing workflow.
Strengths
- Browser-independent hotkey filling
- Local-storage default and portable option
Watch out for
- Free Lite edition is limited to 20 items per file
Best for
- Windows users who prefer a local vault and hotkey filling
