What it does
Mopidy plays local files and internet radio and can add music sources through extensions.
Run Mopidy on the Linux or Mac device connected to your audio output, then choose a web client to search and manage its queue. MPD clients need the separate Mopidy-MPD extension. The server handles playback while the client supplies controls.
Install through a supported package or Python route and configure your sources. Local files and internet radio work as core sources; cloud services depend on separate extensions and the provider’s own access terms.
