What it does
MOZE is a personal-finance app for iPhone and iPad that organizes spending around projects. Basic recording and budgets are free; paid plans add synchronization and more detailed tools. You can keep records on one device without signing in.
A holiday can have one overall allowance with separate amounts for meals and transport, while those purchases retain their normal expense categories.
Set the budget's rules
Open the project's budget settings and enter its total allowance. Category allocations can be fixed amounts or percentages, with percentage allocations changing when you change the project total. A reminder can notify you when the remaining budget falls below your chosen percentage.
Choose separately whether to add project income to the allowance, carry unused money into the next period, and deduct earlier overspending. The daily budget can be a fixed share of the month's allowance or recalculate from the money and days remaining.
Free and paid plans
The website displays these monthly prices in US dollars:
| Plan | Monthly price | Included features |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | Free | Transaction records, project budgets, monthly reports and multiple currencies |
| Professional | US$1.99 | Device sync, CSV import/export, unlimited reports and advanced credit-card tools |
| Professional + AI | US$3.99 | Professional features plus monthly credits for voice, photo and screenshot entry |
For paid synchronization, open the account section at the top of the More functions page and use Sign in with Apple. The first login uploads the existing device records before synchronization starts.
Strengths
- A split transaction can assign separate accounts, projects and categories to its parts.
- The free edition has no advertisements.
Watch out for
- CSV export omits links between records, images, recurring events and other advanced properties. MOZE warns against editing that export and importing it back.
- Professional + AI is unavailable to users in China.
Best for
- People managing a holiday, renovation or other project alongside regular household spending
