What it does
HTMLDOC converts HTML and Markdown sources or webpages into PDF, EPUB, or PostScript, with an optional table of contents. It provides a graphical interface and automated integration routes.
Choose Web Page for unstructured files or Book for heading-based publications, add the sources, set the output file and generate. The CLI offers the same distinction with --webpage or --book and a named output. Book mode builds a contents page from headings but silently ignores everything before the first H1; a file without H1 produces no book content. Use simple markup: CSS, forms, full Unicode and emoji are outside its documented renderer. HTMLDOC is GPLv2 software, with no licence restriction placed on generated documents.
Strengths
